Datum i mesto rođenja: 03.09.1954. Novi Sad. Diplomirao je 1978, magistrirao 1983, a doktorirao 1990 na Fakultetu za geografiju Univerziteta u Beogradu. Za redovnog profesora izabran je 2010 godine.
