Following the footsteps of the previously organized meetings, International conference GEOTRENDS 2020 is planned as a meeting which will con¬sider all actual tendencies and trends of geoheritage, geotourism and geoconservation research in the world. With previously gained connections and collaborations we plan to host not only participants from the region of Western, Central and Southeast Europe and East Asia (China), but also the whole world
The idea for this kind of conference was created when a group of academics from the Department for Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management (Faculty of Sceiences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia), while conducting numerous researches on geoheritage in Serbia and wider region, felt the urge to organize a conference regarding geoheritage and geotourism research. The conference had its premiere in 2010, and it was held in Novi Sad, Serbia, at the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management. After the success of the initial meeting and many published papers in respective international scientific journals such as Quaternary International, Acta Geographica Slovenica and Geographica Pannonica, second issue of the meeting was held in 2017 in Wrocław, Poland and it provided a collection of papers published in Open Geosciences journal.
Following the footsteps of the previously organized meetings, International conference GEOTRENDS 2020 is planned as a meeting which will con¬sider all actual tendencies and trends of geoheritage, geotourism and geoconservation research in the world. With previously gained connections and collaborations we plan to host not only participants from the region of Western, Central and Southeast Europe and East Asia (China), but also the whole world. The concepts of geotourism and geoheritage are very attractive in the international scientific community, which is the main rea¬son for inviting numerous experienced experts in these fields to participate, lecture and supervise the Conference.
We honestly invite you to submit papers and share your ideas which would certainly broaden the importance of multidisciplinary geographical research, promotion and implementation of the results into practical use.
