“PORTUGAL&ME”

On February 6th 2024. the 57th thematic event was held, it started at 7.30 pm, within the subject Animation and logistics in tourism and hotel industry, called “PORTUGAL&ME” A group of 13 students from the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Novi Sad presented the old European country of Portugal to people on this event by talking about its beauty, its rich cultural and historical heritage, its famous people and customs, all permeated with music, tradiconal and modern Portuguese dance as well as a diverse gastronomic offer wich includes specialties from mentioned country. This thematic evening was held in the famous “Sheraton” hotel in Novi Sad, and the director of the Department for Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Prof. Dr. Lazar Lazić, vice dean for science of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Srdjan Rončević, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Portugal in Belgrade, Mr. João Melo Alvim as well as numerous professors, parents, friends and fellow citizens. The collected funds are intended for the association “Down” from Novi Sad, which provides support to people with Down syndrome and other forms of intellectual disability. The main sponsors of that evening were Centurion Bačka Palanka, Zito Banat Vršac, Comfort Style Kula, Grand Tours as well as numerous anonymous donors.
