Submission deadline: 31 December 2026 Expected publication: March/June 2027

Geographica Pannonica invites submissions for a Special Issue dedicated to the 24th International Congress of Biometeorology (ICB2026), entitled “Biometeorology: Addressing 21st century global climate issues and perspectives of living beings and places”, held in Novi Sad, Serbia, from 13 to 16 July 2026.
This Special Issue aims to bring together high-quality research arising from ICB2026 and related biometeorological studies addressing climate risks, environmental change, and the interactions between atmospheric conditions, living beings, and places. Contributions are welcome from all areas of biometeorology, including both theoretical and applied perspectives.
The Special Issue welcomes manuscripts focusing on, but not limited to:

  • climate monitoring methods and processes;
  • application and development of thermal indices;
  • temporal and spatial modelling in biometeorology;
  • urban biometeorology, urban design, and climate-sensitive planning;
  • public health, heat stress, and climate-related risks;
  • climate services, early warning systems, and stakeholder involvement;
  • tourism, recreation, sport, and outdoor thermal comfort;
  • agrometeorology, plant phenology, and climate impacts on vegetation;
  • bioaerosols, pollinators, biodiversity, and ecosystem responses;
  • animal biometeorology and animal behaviour in the context of climate change;
