The Working Group for Animation in Tourism, Ethno Tourism and Folklore Heritage conducts research primarily in the territory of Vojvodina (but also more broadly), within which it places emphasis on the possibility of using folklore heritage in the tourist offer of a particular destination in Vojvodina, i.e. Serbia. Through a series of educational workshops and round tables, the preservation of folklore heritage is carried out and domestic handicrafts are encouraged, and activities are undertaken on the topic of reviving cultures and selling souvenirs, reviving naive painting, organic food production and promotion of gastronomic tradition, reviving numerous events and customs, and developing rural tourism.

Through animation programs as an integral part of the tourist offer, a more meaningful tourist stay in a particular destination is achieved. Through the preparation and realization of themed events, cultural heritage (heritage, cultural-historical monuments), folklore characteristics (music, costume, customs) and gastronomic characteristics (culinary specialties and traditional drinks) of some of the many peoples living in the territory of our country, as well as the cultures of some other peoples, are promoted. Organizing themed events within the subject Animation and Logistics in Tourism and Hotel Management with the aim of promoting the folklore/ethno heritage of individual peoples and placing it in the function of tourism.

The events are held with the support of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, the City Hall, the embassies of the countries being presented and numerous other donors and sponsors. Support has so far been received from the Embassies of Mexico, Cuba, Turkey, India, Slovakia, Russia, Egypt, Japan, Germany, Argentina, the Netherlands, Tunisia, Congo, Montenegro and others whose representatives – ambassadors, consuls, cultural attachés, secretaries, etc. – have attended the events.

To date, the themed events (59 events from 2006 to 2026) have involved over 1,000 students, been attended by over 7,000 guests, and have been covered by numerous media. So far, around 10,000,000 dinars in money and goods have been collected to help children who were most in need at that moment.
