On Wednesday, 7 February 2018, starting at 19:30, in the restaurant "Ribarac", the 43rd thematic – charity evening was held, organized by students of hotel management and gastronomy, "Serbia – Middle ages, I'll be back!".

About 250 guests were present at this event. The goal of this event was, in addition to the humanitarian purpose, to provide guests with an educational and entertaining journey through medieval Serbia, for a better acquaintance with the culture, customs, food and traditions of our ancestors in this period of Serbian history. In addition to the play, the guests enjoyed the sounds of the flute, performed by Meila Tomé Pihler, the battle of knights from the association for the preservation and nurturing of medieval tradition and culture "Crveni Gavranovi", as well as the performance of the cultural and artistic society "Neven".
The guests of this evening were also the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Milica Pavkov-Hrvojević, the Director of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Prof. Dr. Lazar Lazić, the Rector of the University of Novi Sad, Prof. Dr. Dušan Nikolić, as well as the former Rector of the University and former Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vesković.
The monetary donation from ticket sales and financial sponsors is intended for the citizens' association "Život" from Novi Sad, which helps children in the fight against rare diseases.
