Publication Ethics Statement
Publication Ethics Statement:
- All submissions to the International Scientific Journal Turizam must be original and free from unethical practices such as plagiarism, data falsification, data fabrication, paper slicing, ghostwriting, and any other practices that violate generally accepted research ethics principles.
- The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for investigating all suspected unethical practices. In cases of alleged misconduct, the Editor-in-Chief informs the authors of the manuscript, provides relevant evidence, and invites the authors to submit an explanation.
- Concerns regarding unethical practices may be raised by the Editor-in-Chief, associate editors, Advisory and Editorial Board members, manuscript reviewers, authors, readers, or
any other individuals who encounter such practices.
- All submissions to the International Scientific Journal Turizam are screened for unethical practices before being sent for peer review. Each manuscript is checked for plagiarism using the iThenticate Professional Plagiarism Prevention software.
- If unethical practice is suspected during the review process, the review procedure is suspended until the case is clarified. The review process continues if the allegation is not substantiated. If unethical practice is confirmed for a manuscript that has not yet been sent for review, is under review, or has been accepted but not published, the manuscript will be rejected.
- If unethical practice is confirmed for a manuscript that has already been published, the paper will be retracted and a retraction notice will be published in the next available issue of the journal. For the completeness of bibliographic records, the text of the retracted paper will remain online, clearly marked with the watermark “Retracted”.
- In the case of a second confirmed unethical practice, the author will receive a lifetime ban from publishing in the International Scientific Journal Turizam.
- The use of AI is permitted only in full compliance with the following principles:
- transparency: the use of AI must be clearly stated in the manuscript;
- responsibility: the authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of the content;
- verifiability: all participants in the journalistic process must verify that the AI has not entered fictitious data, quotes or claims;
- confidentiality: editors and reviewers are prohibited from uploading submitted manuscripts to public AI services (ChatGPT or other) because this would violate authors' copyrights.
- The use of AI tools in the research on the basis of which the paper was created is not limited, but it must be scientifically justified and described in detail in the Method section or an analogous part of the body of the paper. A detailed description implies that the name of the AI tool, the date of access, the query used (prompt) and the purpose of use must be stated.
- Authors may use AI tools solely to create AI-assisted but not AI-generated content. This practically means that the use of AI tools is allowed only for limited linguistic and technical interventions in the text of the manuscript: correction of grammar and spelling, stylistic refinement of the author's text, help with formatting, technical assistance, such as code correction.
- The use of AI must be clearly stated in the manuscript. AI cannot in any case be the author or co-author of the work, nor can it be cited as an author in the Literature section. The most appropriate places in the work where this information is stated are the Acknowledgments, the end of the body of the work (just before the Literature section) and the Method of work. The description of the use of AI in the Method section is necessary when it comes to atypical use of AI tools.
- If the authors used some of the AI tools, it is necessary to send a statement about the use of AI. Authors must: fully and accurately identify the use of AI tools; to guarantee the originality of the scientific contribution; avoid any fabrication or manipulation; to respect the rules of scientific ethics. A possible form of such a statement is: Statement: During the preparation of this paper, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL/SERVICE] to [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and modified the content as necessary. The author(s) assume full responsibility for the content of the published article.
- It is prohibited to use AI tools to: generate most of the content of the manuscript, create scientific ideas, data, results or interpretations, edit images, tables or graphs (including graphic summaries), data or references.
- Unequivocally established unauthorized use of AI should result in rejection, correction or withdrawal of the work.
- Editors and reviewers must respect confidentiality and must not submit (unpublished) manuscripts to public AI services, e.g. ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, etc. It is prohibited to use AI for scientific evaluation of manuscripts, quality assessment or making editorial decisions on (non)acceptance of manuscripts.
Izjava o etici publikovanja
U slučaju navodne neetičke prakse, glavni i odgovorni urednik obaveštava autore rukopisa,
dostavlja potrebne dokaze i poziva autore da pruže objašnjenje.
- Sumnju na neetičke prakse mogu izraziti glavni i odgovorni urednik, pomoćni urednici, članovi Savetodavnog i Uređivačkog odbora, recenzenti rukopisa, autori, čitaoci i druga lica
- transparentnost: upotreba AI mora biti jasno navedena u rukopisu;
- odgovornost: autori ostaju u potpunosti odgovorni za tačnost i originalnost sadržaja;
- proverljivost: svi učesnici u publicističkom procesu moraju proveriti da AI nije uneo izmišljene podatke, citate ili tvrdnje;
- poverljivost: uredništvu i recenzentima je zabranjeno učitavanje podnetih rukopisa u javne AI service (ChatGPT or other) because this would violate authors' copyrights.
ograničene jezičke i tehničke intervencije u tekstu rukopisa: ispravku gramatike i pravopisa, stilsko doterivanje autorskog teksta, pomoć pri formatiranju, tehničku asistenciju, poput ispravljanja koda.
ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, i sl.
