IMPLEMENTATION OPPORTUNITIES OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY SYSTEMS IN THE PERIPHERIES ALONG THE BORDER OF HUNGARY AND ROMANIA
Authors: Balázs Kulcsár
Abstract: With the utilization of the available potentials and technologies, geothermal energy may contribute to the reduction of the quantities of the emitted contaminants and greenhouse gases, as well as the de velopment of peripheral regions. Towards this end, such governmental measures are needed that set up a favourable regulatory environment, and put the fnancial funds for the support of implementation in place so that geothermal energy resources could complement the currently used, conventional energy carriers, and more effcient settlement development could be achieved. In this context, the University of Debrecen and the University of Oradea have conducted joint studies with the purpose of making a realistic assessment of geothermal energy resources in the region of Săcueni–Létavértes and examining the options of long-term utilization. The research has been multidisciplinary, and thus embraced the feld of geography, geodetics, well drilling, automation, mechanical engineering and tourism. The principal goal has been the utilization of geothermal energy with the largest possible effciency in the area of Săcueni and Létavértes.

INFLUENCE OF GEOGRAPHICAL AND HISTORICAL FACTORS ON CHANGES IN NATURAL FEATURES OF CENTRAL BANAT AND THE QUALITY OF ECOSYSTEM SERVICES
INFLUENCE OF GEOGRAPHICAL AND HISTORICAL FACTORS ON CHANGES IN NATURAL FEATURES OF CENTRAL BANAT AND THE QUALITY OF ECOSYSTEM SERVICES
Authors: Vesna Kicošev, Jovan Romelić, Milan Matavulj, Ivo Marinić, Anđelka Belić
Abstract: Research of the influence of geographical and historical factors on changes in natural features and the quality of ecosystem services is important for the evaluation of the reference state of the quality of the environment and the potential of natural systems for the renewal of functions on which the wildlife on the planet depends. The territory of central Banat in the surrounding of protected areas “Slano Kopovo” Special Nature Reserve, “Rusanda” Nature Park and “Okanj Bara” Special Nature Reserve covering the settlements of Novi Bečej, Kumane, Melenci, Elemir and Taraš was selected for the analysis. Changes in ecosystems were monitored based on available geographical and historical data on the residence and activities of people in this territory during various time periods. Evaluation was conducted by scoring and gradation of impact was carried out by applying approximate values of spatial, qualitative and quantitative change indicators. According to the research results, current effects of the impact on the considered area were between significant and great. Results indicate the alarming state in the environment, since further increase in the scope of influences leads to the exceedance of capacities of the surrounding ecosystems for performing a part of ecosystem services (tremendous impact), or most of ecosystem services (drastic impact).

APPLICATION OF THE HUFF MODEL OF SHOPPING PROBABILITY IN THE SELECTED STORES IN PREŠOV (PREŠOV, THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC)
Authors: Jana Mitríková, Anna Šenková, Sandra Antoliková
Abstract: The main objective of this article is the calculation of the Huff Model and the comparison of obtained data with the questionnaire survey results. Afterwards, we will try to assess the validity of this theoretical model of shopping probability for practical use as well as its overall objectivity. Calculation of the Huff Model of Probability will be calculated for nine large–scale retail stores in fifteen local regions within the area of the third largest town in the Slovak Republic – Prešov. These results will be compared to results of the questionnaire research which was conducted during the period of November 2013 until March 2014 on a sample of 1,096 respondents. The questionnaire was addressing customers´ preference for various large-scale stores as well as their place of residence. Based on the calculation results and the results obtained from the questionnaire survey, cartographic outputs were created, pointing out overall consistency as well as differences in the already mentioned results.

ATTITUDES OF SCHOOL TEACHERS ABOUT ROMA INCLUSION IN EDUCATION, A CASE STUDY OF VOJVODINA, SERBIA
Authors: Jelena Milanković, Anđelija Ivkov-Džigurski, Smiljana Đukičin, Ljubica Ivanović Bibić, Tin Lukić, Kristina Kalkan
Abstract: Roma in Serbia still do not have equal access to quality education. Roma children are more increasingly present in the school system in Serbia, which shows that there is a trend in decreasing differences among pupils. Inclusion should make education more accessible and of better quality for Roma children. Serbia is on the right track to achieve this. It started with introducing Roma assistants in teaching, who would help Roma children fit into the educational system. The introduction of elements of national cultures, including Romani, would make schooling much more attractive to Roma children, because it would reflect their living environment and contribute to a better acceptance of Roma children by other children and teachers. The first part of the paper with descriptive method tells about the status of the Roma in Serbia and their problems in education, as well as ways to improve the conditions of their education. Statistical method was used to display present and situation in past. Experimental part of this paper demonstrates attitudes of primary and secondary school teachers in Novi Sad, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, about the inclusion of Roma children in education.

THE MYTH OF RETURN: BOSNIAN REFUGEES AND THE PERCEPTION OF “HOME”
Authors: Ondřej Žíla
Abstract: The presented paper deals with the phenomenon of the so-called myth of return in the case of Bosnian refugees and their different perception of “home.” The main goal of the paper is to answer the question if it was possible to renew the original concept of “home” in the context of the postwar situation and, more precisely, to delve into the question of how their desire to return “home” (i.e. the so-called myth of return) changed as a result of the prolonging time the refugees lived in a different place. At the same time, the paper analyses the differences in the perception of “home” among the particular constituent nations, explores how members of different age categories differently perceive “home,” and last but not least, it focuses on the change of perception of “home” as a result of the social conflict between urban and countryside refugees. The perception of “home” is likewise researched from the point of view of a refugee in a host country, i.e. the role of the diaspora in the return of the refugees is also reflected.

Authors: Jovana Boškov, Stefan Kotrla, Mlađen Jovanović, Nemanja Tomić, Tin Lukić, Ivan Rvović
Abstract: Bela Crkva municipality is located in the northeastern part of Serbia, in the southeast of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. This Municipality has a high concentration of geosites which are of a great importance, and providing a good basis for the geotourism developement in this area. This paper proposes an inventory of geosites in the Bela Crkva municipality. One of the aims of the paper is to evaluate different values of geosites using preliminary Geosite Assessment Model (GAM) in order to determine whether this area has the potential for geotourism development.
