Regional Geography Research Team

Regional geography unites and puts into function the knowledge gained in certain geographical disciplines, whose information defines and explains the formation and characteristics of a particular region. The members of the scientific group for regional geography are oriented towards three scientific fields of regional-geographical research that are based on the foundations and parameters of: natural criteria, demographic and other socio-geographical criteria and tourism phenomena.

The members of the scientific group for regional geography are oriented towards three scientific fields of regional-geographical research that are based on the foundations and parameters of: natural criteria, demographic and other socio-geographical criteria and tourism phenomena. The Chair today has six members: one full professor, three associate professors and two assistants.
From the founding of the Chair of Geography at the Faculty of Philosophy until the formation of the Institute of Geography, today the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, a great contribution to the development of regional-geographical studies was given by academician Dr. Branislav Bukurov, Prof. Dr. Josip Pleše, Prof. Dr. Dragoljub Bugarski, Prof. Dr. Rade Davidović, Prof. Dr. Jovan Plavša, as well as other members.
