GIS DAY 2023
It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to participate in the international GIS Day 2023, which will be held on 15 November 2023 at the Rectorate of the University of Novi Sad, starting at 11:00, organized by the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
GIS Day is a global event that was first held in 1999 to raise public awareness of the significant contribution of geoinformation technologies in our lives. In Serbia, GIS Day has been celebrated since 2013. This is an opportunity to connect universities, schools, companies, non-profit organizations and GIS experts, and it aims to present successful examples of the integration of these technologies in various spheres of human activity.

Join the workshops: two practical workshops will be organized for all those who want to acquire new GIS skills.
Make a poster presentation and win a prize: all students and pupils can exhibit works in the field of GIS at a poster presentation within the event. Valuable prizes have been prepared for the best ones and will be awarded on GIS Day itself (on the same day as the applications, there will also be instructions for submitting works). Write a paper for a scientific journal: all students who present their works on GIS Day can publish them in the scientific journal Researches Review of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, currently categorized as M54.
