CULTURWB @ Underground4Value COST action meeting in Naples

Underground4Value (COST action CA 18110 -Underground Built Heritage as catalyser for Community Valorisation) is a network of research groups working crossover Europe in close interaction with local stakeholders with the aim of enhancing community values. This COST action has started in april 2019 and will last until april 2023. The second meeting was held in Naples in awesome Caste dell’Ovo scenery. Our collegues, professors Tatjana Pivac and Sanja Kovačić attended the meeting, which lasted from 12 to 15 of February 2020. At the same time The first Underground4Value Training School was held in Naples from 10 to 15 of February, involving about 30 trainees and 26 trainers coming from 15 countries. Learn more...

Public debate on the Draft Law on Cultural Heritage of Serbia

Public debate on the Draft Law on Cultural Heritage is being conducted from December 9, 2019 to January 9, 2020, and upon completion of the public hearing, the Ministry of Culture and Information will analyze all comments, proposals and suggestions of participants in the public debate and on this basis, they will prepare a report on the public debate on the Draft Law and publish it on their website and e-government portal. Learn more...

GRANTS FOR CULTURAL AND ADVENURE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The Council for Regional Cooperation (RCC) awarded 16 new grants to tourism development in the Western Balkans in the Albanian city of Durres in November 2019 for the project which will be performed in 2020. This was the second round of a total of three grants awarded under the European Union-funded RCC Tourism Development and Promotion Project. This time, the focus was on cultural and adventure tourism. In the video, you can see the part of a promotional video in which actor Alban Ukaj in six languages talks about the beauty and richness of this part of Europe. In this way, and by awarding grants, the RCC provides an opportunity to develop, above all, cultural tourism, as according to estimates, tourists are most interested in this tourism form.

Bridging cultures short course approaches the topic of multicultural understanding from the perspectives of various disciplines: anthropology, international relations, arts and literature, psychology, and others. In order to set the foundations of multicultural understanding, the course intents to build awareness of the impact of culture for identity, while acknowledging the other axes of our identity and their relationship to culture. Brussels mural as connection between Western Balkans and EU

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini revealed a new mural in Brussels, painted by a young artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina Rikardo Druskic. Regional Consultation Meeting: EU – Western Balkans Cultural Relations

The Cultural Diplomacy Platform organised a Regional Consultation meeting on 8-9 April in Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. CLINK - the future of cultural heritage in the Balkans and the rest of Europe

During the General Assembly of ALDA in May, representatives of the EU, LDAs and their partners had a chance to meet and discuss the issue of cultural heritage preservation in their home nations as a part of the CLINK framework. This dialogue took place on the 15th and 16th of May 2019 in Caen and was held between eighty representatives from Croatia, France, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Albania.
