At their own initiative, a group of sixteen students organised and realised the complete programme of a themed evening of a charitable nature entitled "Mexico in Novi Sad". The themed evening was held on Saturday, 13 May 2006, and consisted of several parts, in which the culture, folklore characteristics (music, traditional costume, customs), gastronomic values and the life of the inhabitants of the United States of Mexico were presented to the guests of the restaurant.

The guests of the evening were the Rector of the University of Novi Sad, Prof. Dr. Radmila Marinković Nedučin, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vesković, the Director of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Prof. Dr. Lazar Lazić, and many professors, assistants and other guests chosen by the students themselves. A lecture by Mr. Lazar Panković on the culture of Mexico deserves special mention.

In this way, the students demonstrated creativity and humanity, because all the collected items, sweets and toys were donated to children with developmental disabilities from the home in Veternik.
