On Tuesday, 09.02.2009, in the restaurant "Ribarac", starting at 20:00, a thematic evening was held within the event: "Animation in Tourism of the City of Novi Sad 2009" titled "Turkish evening".
A group of 14 third-year students from the departments: Manager in Tourism, Manager in Hotel Management and Manager in Gastronomy, Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad, carried out the practical part of the exam in the course Animation in Tourism.
During the multi-hour program, the guests were presented with the history, cultural and folklore heritage and traditional gastronomy, as well as contemporary tourist destinations of Turkey. At the end of the program, a prize game was organized. All guests, by purchasing a ticket for the Turkish evening, had the right to participate in the prize game.
The guests of the evening were representatives of the Embassy of Turkey in Serbia, the Director of the Department, Prof. Dr. Jovan Plavša, professors, assistants, donors, parents and friends who came to support this humanitarian project.
The thematic evening is of a humanitarian nature and all the money collected from donors, tickets, as well as gifts brought by guests (sweets, clothes, hygiene products, school supplies and other) were presented to the oncology department of the Children's Hospital in Novi Sad.
