On 10.03.2026, the 59th Thematic Event was held, within the course Animation and Logistics in Tourism and Hotel Management, titled "Montenegro - A Story That Endures". A group of 11 students from the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management at the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad presented the conflict between the traditional and the modern through the natural and cultural-historical heritage of Montenegro. The students also took the guests on a tourist tour through a seemingly small country, with a long history and a great contribution to cultural-historical heritage, talking about famous people and customs, accompanied by traditional and modern music and dance, as well as a diverse gastronomic offer characteristic of Montenegro. In addition to the students, the program also featured the KUD "Petar Petrović Njegoš" from Lovćenac, the Dance School "Master Dance" from Novi Sad, Sonja and Ivan Ostojić, as well as Damjan and Konstantin Knežević. The thematic evening was held in the "Zlatna dvorana" (Golden Hall) in Novi Sad with 240 guests present. The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia, Mr. Nebojša Đoković, the Consul General of Montenegro in Serbia, Mrs. Nevenka Ćirović, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Srđan Rončević, the Director of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Prof. Dr. Lazar Lazić, as well as numerous professors, parents, friends and fellow citizens. The funds raised are intended for the "Williams Syndrome Association" from Novi Sad, which provides support and information to people with Williams syndrome as well as their families, raising awareness and supporting research into all aspects of WS.
