Marketing Team
The Marketing Team of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management was established to promote the values, accomplishments and successes of our staff and students. The team members are Dajana Bjelajac (head), Milica Bosnić, Maja Mijatov Ladičorbić, Jelena Tepavčević, Stefan Šmugović, Igor Ponjiger and Velibor Ivanović.
In addition to these professors and teaching assistants, other Department staff also take part in the team's work, and students often make an important contribution, helping to keep our communication more direct, contemporary and closer to young people. The student associations active at the Department provide particularly valuable support: the Young Researchers' Society "Branislav Bukurov", the European Geography Association for students and young geographers – EGEA, Novi Sad entity, and the Association of Tourism and Hospitality Students "Pavle Tomić".
What does the Marketing Team do?
The Department's Marketing Team was set up to share the most important information about our study programmes and activities, as well as the achievements of our staff and students, through a range of communication channels. Beyond its everyday informational role, the team actively works to improve the quality of science communication – through popular science articles, videos and lectures, we bring current scientific advances and natural and social phenomena closer to the general public. In addition to creating digital content, team members help organise and run numerous science outreach events, such as the Science Festival, GIS Day, "Be a Student for a Day", "Naučni zimodruž" (Winter Science Gathering) and many others. To introduce our study programmes to secondary school students, the Marketing Team regularly takes part in education fairs, visits schools at the invitation of their teachers and organises school visits to the Department. If you are interested in our study programmes, we will gladly arrange a guided visit, meetings with our teachers and students, and promotional activities at your school whenever possible.
Which communication channels does the Marketing Team use?
Our Department publishes information first on its official website and then on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. Facebook and Instagram are mostly used to share information with students and with secondary school pupils interested in our Department, while YouTube and TikTok feature educational and promotional videos. Information about projects, research papers, conferences and similar activities can be found on LinkedIn.

The Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management offers education at all three levels of study – bachelor, master and doctoral academic studies. Our study programmes cover various fields of geography, tourism, hotel management and gastronomy, and the connections between them are one of the Department's key strengths. This interdisciplinary approach allows students to view space, society, the economy, the environment and current trends from several perspectives, and to bring what they learn together into a broader whole.
We place particular emphasis on practical teaching and learning through experience. Fieldwork, professional internships, work on real tasks and projects, and direct contact with institutions and industry are an important part of studying at DGTH. This gives students the opportunity to apply what they learn in lectures in a real-world setting, develop professional skills and, while still studying, get to know the fields in which they may later continue their academic or professional careers.
Don't forget the communication channels of the Faculty of Sciences.
In addition to official announcements about classes and exam periods, the Faculty of Sciences regularly publishes information relevant to studying, student life and activities at the Faculty. It communicates with its community through its Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles, where it shares current news, announcements and interesting facts from the natural sciences and mathematics.
A separate profile, PMF Science, is dedicated exclusively to the Faculty's research and project activities, showcasing its research, results and international collaborations!
